Relaunch of Travel Route from Granada to Ometepe Island
New Travel Route for all
On October 4 th , the National Port Company (EPN) has completed the relaunch of a commercial / Travel route of the Gustavo Orozco boat. This is a boat that completes a journey from Granada port to the town of San Carlos, traveling through the port of Altagracia on the island of Ometepe.
EPN is continuing the advance the communication channels found throughout the country. Through this, the tourist and commercial route in Lake Cocibolca is created which consists of the route from Granada to San Carlos.
The Travel details you need to know
The ship sets sail on Monday at 5:00 in the afternoon and the price for the routes is as follows:
- Granada port – San Carlos C$ 200
- Granada – Altagracia port (Ometepe Island) C$ 100
- Ometepe Island – San Carlos C$150
All merchants, tourists and families are more than welcome to travel comfortably and safely with this route. There are security measures in place to ensure you have the best journey possible. On top of this, there is music and food provided for the entire family!
The Gustavo Orozco boat returns on Tuesdays at 5:00 in the afternoon, leaving the port of San Carlos and passing through Ometepe Island. This then arrives on Wednesday in the early hours of the morning at the port of Granada to complete the journey.
