Forest Reserve

Guacimo River Lodge comprises 50 hectares of primary and secondary forest located in the Indio Maiz Biosphere Reserve buffer zone.

With the support of a team of biologists Guacimo River Lodge carries a program for monitoring of biodiversity. This contributes to provide visibility to the diverse Nicaraguan lowland tropical forest fauna and flora as well as to provide information on species and subspecies inhabiting Indio Maiz buffer zone.
